I have had the gallery for 8 years. I started my career as a lawyer and public health professional. I have always loved art and followed the art market. I grew up with parents who took me to museums and galleries in Europe and Hawaii. I feel so privileged to have the gallery and I love promoting both artists and collectors.

Can you tell us about some of the artists that you’ve brought to PULSE over the years and why you decided to present them at our fair?

My gallery is just outside Washington DC and I knew that by exhibiting at PULSE Art Fair, I could provide a much wider audience for the artists I show. PULSE also gives me the opportunity to meet collectors and consultants and curators from all over the world. My first year at PULSE I had a solo booth with sculptor Jessica Drenk. It was a lovely experience and I returned with both Jessica's art and the art of other amazing artists. This year I am bringing a wonderful figurative painter, Gregory Ferrand, an abstract landscape artist, Gabe Brown and a minimalist, Wesley Berg. Gregory is from Washington DC, Gabe is from the Hudson Valley of New York and Wesley is from Texas. I am so excited and proud to show their art.

What makes PULSE special compared to other fairs?

PULSE is special because of the wonderful team and beautiful location. I am so excited to work with Cristina again. She and her team are so encouraging, so accommodating and genuinely love chatting with the galleries and artists that show with them. The location on the beach is gorgeous and calming.

Are there any topics in the contemporary art discourse and the art market that are of particular interest to you right now? Any trends you see coming?

The discourse in the art world is as varied and exciting as the artists I am bringing to PULSE. You can discuss politics, aesthetics, beauty, calm, surface, color and the list goes on and on. An artist and gallery can be so many things....

What’s coming up next for your gallery?

We will have a solo show of the art of Wesley Berg in January, right after PULSE and a lovely show of botanic artists following that.
