Founded in 2016 by multidisciplinary artist Jessica Yatrofsky, NY FEM FACTORY is a Brooklyn-based feminist collective that curates art exhibitions and hosts live immersive events, literary readings and discussions that provide a platform for female artists creating work across disciplines. Since its inception, the women of the NY FEM FACTORY have completed residencies at the experimental Institut für Alles Mögliche, culminating in the multimedia installation “BAD GIRL” during Gallery Weekend in Berlin, curated immersive readings featuring local female writers at the Soho House in Toronto, Los Angeles, London, and NYC, performed during “Performance is Alive” at the Satellite Art Show, participated in a live activation for PULSE PROJECTS in Miami, and cohosted the YCC in Miami Beach at the PULSE Art Fair. NY FEM FACTORY cultivates engagement of dialogue through collaboration and site specific projects with the expressed aim of bolstering women’s art and ideas.
